Tea Cups

Mad Tea Party is a spinning teacup ride, which opened in 1955, inspired by the Unbirthday Party scene in Disney’s film Alice in Wonderland. For the first few months after the ride first opened, the tea cups spun on a bare platform before it was painted with the psychedelic spiral that exists today. A group of colorful oversized teacups take guests on a whirling and spinning ride on a spinning tea table. This ride is one of the original rides located at Disneyland and lasts about 1 ½ minutes. This ride is a great ride to go on because it is adjustable to the rider; the teacups can spin however fast you want them to spin. Although, it is especially fun spinning really fast.
